While the garden is planted, and the weeds are pulled, and it is raining, I think I will try this today... it is what some people call "relax"...
(Nonchaloir (Repose), John Singer Sargent, 1911) When I catered an anniversary dinner party a few years ago, I wore something a bit similar to that gown... a silk taffeta gown that rustled when I walked, and was simply long enough for me to wear my sneakers hidden underneath (for all the jaunts back and forth from kitchen to dining area)... and this painting is the feeling that was evoked the day after... I had slept in my gown, after a fantastically fun after party, and resulted in lounging at home the next day... Hope you are all having a wonderful day... and are at peace...
