If you have ever walked into a "prim store" (a.k.a. primitive) then you'll know the smells, if done right, can be intoxicating...
as well as all the 'stuff' of prim — decor...
I seriously could decorate a whole barn in 'prim' decor... it's the most fun craft too...

because it's not perfect, but rather — rustic and natural -

We were going to a party last year, and I had about 2 hours to come up with something for the hostess...
mr. crow and a pumpkin were born
made from old scraps of fabric...
the wing was stitched like 'feathers' and then after it was all sewed, twig top of the pumpkin and all, I took a dry brush and some old gold paint and drybrushed it on all over — as well as some black paint on the pumpkin... sometimes I totally love the grunge of prim!!
and for anyone who knows where I can get this pattern, let me know:
HOLD THE PHONE! Beth told me where 'mr.pumpkin' is from — yeah!... click on the picture to see...
