Journey of Quilting

Crazy Acres...

You don't have to look far at what my sister-in-law likes to call: Crazy Acres for some unique and artistic ideas in and around her home... any place you would want to put something — you wouldn't have to! — she has already done that! Not to mention her 3 acres are like a secret garden...

woodlands... grasses... She's surrounded by a natural beauty... and some really great thrift stores;)

she tucks bulbs in wherever she chooses... and that abandoned artistic approach is apparent, and much appreciated by all who have the privilege to visit her home... and oh yeah; she just had her 8th baby (uh — huh — all hers — and too cute!)
my little darling on 'the hunt' this past weekend...

And uh; if this was on top of a totally cute structure, under an ancient pine tree in your back yard... would you keep the tractor and bikes in there?

YEAH — NEITHER WOULD I!!!
and yes (crazy acres) you know I'm coming over this year to take care of that "problem";)

I ended up making the girls skirts for the day (why not eh?) and they too had a wonderful time searching for eggs, playing with their MULTITUDE of cousins... it was great.

The hairdo I came up with... since my hair is *unmentionable* I play with hers;)

AND BEFORE I FORGET:
Remember that trip we took with Jesus? With the suitcase? No? then go here: http://nadafarmlife.blogspot.com/2009/02/packing-our-bags.html

Well, It was A HIT!! and we spent Monday morning looking through the suitcase, and all the papers with different sentiments inside (I with a tissue in one hand... I can't help it okay?)

It was filled! with sentiments from the kids like:
"I saw _____ helping Mama without asking"
and
"________ you are the best sister a brother could ever have, there is so much I can learn from you"
no you know why I had the tissue(s) handy

I took their picture right after we looked through it because we called it the Happy Suitcase... it made us so happy!!

~and we are totally going to do this again next year~

Are you having a good day?
Well:
Have a Great Day!
Love,
