Journey of Quilting

A little darling skating party...

All she (a.k.a. darling daughter)wanted was an ice-skating party, and what she received goes beyond happiness! Sharing this ice-skating party with you all seems only befitting considering that it's still darn cold out there — and well... if you are dealt lemons (frozen tundra)... make lemonade! (freeze the old barn foundation!)

How did we do it? My husband made a 2x10 frame, placed a 75' x 45' tarp on top, and filled it with water... or I should say FROZEN FUN!!

Having a large birthday crowd in the colder months?...
Lunch was homemade (organic) Chicken soup with fresh bread... (totally simple for a crowd)

After skating for awhile, I served the girls homemade hot cocoa (yep, homemade) and a all natural candy cane... All along side darling's requested chocolate cupcakes with fluffy white frosting...

*Please note: the girls made a great craft as soon as they got to Farm; a homemade headband with old fabric scraps, buttons, trim... you name it! It was hot glued on there (check them out on the last picture in the video)
and also: darling designed her invitation you see in the first photo — an altered/glittered vintage image we had... she's so creative!!

We had a blast at the party and the whole icy winter!! (the skates were a *score* for $2 at the thrift store) Enjoy Watching!! (turn off my playlist at bottom of screen to hear the video)
