Journey of Quilting

work

There certainly are times in my life, when *happy* gets thrown out the window...

Like a seed planted too deep to even make it out of the ground...
As a cloudy and rainy afternoon when a picnic was planned...

~Words are powerful~

They can evoke happiness, sadness, cruelty, or a feeling of melancholy...

Not everyone sees "eye to eye" so to speak, and this is part of the reason why life is so grand and interesting, exciting and thought provoking...

But generally, those words have feelings and emotions
These emotions we give others, most certainly come and go... but are they forgotten?
have you ever said anything to someone that hurt their feelings? I can humbly admit that I unfortunately have, but would never stoop to intentionally do so...
I'm the type of person that will listen, but not be afraid to give you my opinion.
but why say things to people to intentionally hurt them? why would you want to crush their dreams? aspirations? and thus increase their emotions??

maybe you say "I'm just looking out for your best interest" or the "because I love you so much" or say something that just simply is your opinion without any consideration to whom you are speaking?

words are powerful...

If you find yourself wrapped in emotions, whether positive or negative, please remove yourself from the situation and understand that the crosses that we bear, whether if inflicted upon us by someone or we do it to ourselves, that life is a sacrifice, and this sacrifice needs to be submitted wholly, and that is how we are to become humble... by tribulation.

When I was young, people used to tell me that "life isn't a bed of roses"... and I would adamantly disagree, "it is so!" And I still agree to my opinion to this day. Roses are beautiful to look at, but only after much care to their surroundings, shelter in the severe weather, dead branches pruned, terrible pests removed... and after much patience, hard work, and diligent care, the scent is heavenly, the plant is beautiful, and adapts to it's surrounding... but it most certainly does not like to be transplanted after well established... but you always have to be careful of the thorns that surround and protect it.
Life becomes comfortable... when you consider others... it's when you think of yourself that it becomes tangled with thorns, and sometimes you have to wait for another to prune, shelter, and take great care to make you sweet and beautiful.

Words are powerful... any hurtful thing you say is a thorn, just as any nice thing you say is sweet and beautiful.
