Journey of Quilting

Last but certainly not least!...

Chocolate Peanut Butter Scrumptious Delirumptiousness!! (can you tell I tried them... you know... just in case they were disgusting)

Here's the recipe:
3 cups powdered sugar
2 oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
1 T. hot water
3 T. peanut butter
dash of salt
1/2 lb. chocolate candy coating
(like almond bark)
1/4 c. peanut butter chips
~Melt chocolate chips, and add cream cheese to the melted chocolate and stir to combine. In a mixing bowl — use your paddle attachment, and mix the chocolate/cream cheese combo. with the vanilla, hot water, pean.butter, salt and 1 cup of the powdered sugar... mix until thoroughly combined.
~Add 1 more cup of powdered sugar... mix until smooth... you want this texture to be stiff, not dry... so adjust the amount of added powdered sugar to correct consistency... pinch it — and if it holds it's shape and isn't too soft it's good.
~Spoon a small amount into your hand and roll it into a ball then slightly flatten to egg shape — put onto foil lined baking sheet, and into fridge to harden...
Meanwhile — melt chocolate candy coating — watching that you don't over melt — and then remove pean.butter eggs from fridge and dip into chocolate and place them back onto the foil lined baking sheet... and then back into the fridge... melt the pean.butter chips... drizzle on top of the chocolate covered eggs and WALA!! my husband's favorite treat:)

Who would not want to get those in their baskets? Make them, and then give them to your Easter dinner hostess... she'll love them... trust me!
