Journey of Quilting

fresh...

while the kids were out on a picnic under our oak tree...

and all I could hear inside the kitchen was the glorious sound of birds... and windows were open... well... I had the urge to switch out the reds in the kitchen... to
a more subdued color scheme

tell me what you think!
(btw... the color of my walls are not this dark in person — they are light tan)

This is what I did, with what I had...

vintage spice racks were restocked with fresh herbs — and I added that wire decorative 'item'

and just started adding a bit of texture with my dried sage from the garden
and above it, I hung a wire bird cage and
was amazed to see my vintage
metal mold collection fit just right

I couldn't leave my favorite spot alone, so I switched this French mirror instead of
the art I had there previously...

also in that nook, I got rid of the microwave (literally) and instead of my cookbook collection I had on those shelves, I have now on display my dishware collection
(more on that later)

I grouped my cake plates and domes on top of the hutch, added some Gilberta's preserved goose eggs and pussy willow branches, and a few old bottles I like collecting...

Hope you enjoyed the tour of the spring look for the
Farm Kitchen!

~Hope you are all having a wonderful spring so far~

p.s. I'm so busy getting ready for the sale! and will post more on that very soon! so forgive me if my posts aren't as abundant...
